I'm Paul — a Warrington-based tiler with over 23 years in the trade. You deal with me directly from the first call to the final grout line: no middlemen, no subcontractors, and no shortcuts on the preparation.
Much of my work here is open-plan and large-format flooring, often where a kitchen extension has left old and new floor levels needing to be unified before anything can be tiled. I level and reinforce what's underneath rather than tiling over a problem — the nearby Stockton Heath project is a good example.

Takes a couple of minutes.
Three recent Warrington projects, each documented from preparation through to the finished floor — including what was found underneath before it was covered up.

Oaklands, Warrington
Old floor and adhesive removed, the timber substrate found to have never been correctly overboarded, then rebuilt — localised levelling, a decoupling membrane, 1200x1200 porcelain and mitred tiled thresholds.

Underfloor heating laid over a fully prepared floor, then large-format porcelain, in a tight WA4 porch.
“Paul was really efficient and responsive from our first enquiry to completion of the job. He did an excellent job of the tiling and laid underfloor heating as well. It was all done very neatly and we are very happy with the result.”
Warrington
Victorian-style mosaic with a feature border, set out over a fully prepared and self-levelled base.

A lot of tiling problems don't show up straight away — they start underneath. Uneven subfloors, poor preparation, or incorrect materials can lead to cracked tiles, loose floors, or failures over time.
That's why I approach every job differently. Preparation comes first, whether that means levelling a floor, reinforcing a subfloor, or using the right system for the space. It takes more time upfront, but it ensures the finished result lasts.
Installation carried out in line with relevant British Standards, with a separate 12-month workmanship guarantee.
Answer a few quick questions for a rough idea of what preparation may be needed before tiling. Not a fixed quote — final advice depends on photos and a site inspection.
Start the checkerNo — it's an indicative price from the details you give, so you get a realistic figure straight away. The final quotation follows once I've assessed the space and the substrate. Wet rooms are assessed and priced individually.
Yes — the preparation the job needs is identified and allowed for in the quote. If something is concealed beneath the existing floor and only shows up once it's lifted, I'll show you what it is and agree the cost before any extra work goes ahead.
All of it, plus the surrounding villages — recent projects include Oaklands (WA4) and Culcheth. I also work across Stockton Heath, Lymm, Altrincham, Hale Barns and Knutsford; the Cheshire tiling page lists everywhere I cover.
