The problem
Underfloor heating installation with full floor preparation and large format tiling in a porch area.

Preparation
- Existing floor taken up and the base brought back to level with self-levelling compound to get a solid starting point.
- Thermal insulation boards were installed, followed by a decoupling system designed to take underfloor heating cable.
- The heating cable was then installed across the full area and tested to make sure everything was working properly before covering.

The solution
- The underfloor heating was continuously tested throughout the installation using a live continuity monitor, ensuring the circuit remained intact from start to finish.
- Once the heating was down and tested, the system was encapsulated using self-leveller to fully protect the cable and create a flat surface for tiling.
- Large format 800x1200 tiles were then installed over the top, using a levelling system to keep everything flat and consistent across the floor.
