The problem

Victorian-style mosaic hallway floor with feature border, installed over a fully prepared and self-levelled base.

02

Preparation

  • The existing floor was prepared the day before using primer and self-levelling compound to create a flat, stable base.

03

The solution

  • The following day, the mosaic tiles were carefully set out to achieve a balanced centre pattern within the space.
  • A decorative border was installed around the perimeter, with precise cuts into walls, step, and doorway.

04

The result

  • The result is a clean, traditional Victorian-style entrance with a sharp, symmetrical finish.

Services Used on This Project

"Paul did an outstanding job transforming our front porch. We'd previously been told by another flooring company that the work wouldn't be taken on due to the small space and the complexity of mosaic tiles, but Paul proved them completely wrong. His attention to detail and craftsmanship were excellent throughout, and the finished result has exceeded our expectations. We're absolutely over the moon and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him."
